USIL World Indoor Team Tryouts Complete

Tryouts for the 2007 United States Men's Indoor Lacrosse Team concluded last Saturday at Myers Pavilion in Baltimore, MD. Many of the games top pros were on hand, including Shawn Nadelen and Jon Christmas of the Philadelphia Wings, Scott Stapleford of the Portland LumberJax, and Kevin Leveille of the Chicago Machine.

Saturday's invite-only tryout was the fourth day of camp held by USIL. An open tryout was also held on December 1st in Baltimore, in addition to a two-day camp held in Philadelphia over Thanksgiving weekend.

Notable names at the Philadelphia camp included Chris Schiller, Regy Thorpe and Pat Dutton of the Rochester Knighthawks and Rattlers, as well as John Orsen (Hofstra University) and Matt Zash (Duke University) of the New York Titans.

The 2007 U.S. Men's Indoor Team will be selected and announced in January. The team will be coached by former Philadelphia Wings forward Tom Ryan, along with New York Titans Assistant Coach Randy Fraser.
