BARRETT RETIRES AFTER EIGHT SEASONS

December 24, 2009

2007 US World Team member Bryan Barrett retired this week after eight seasons in the NLL. The 32-year-old defenseman played five seasons (2002-2006) for the Philadelphia Wings before serving three years (2007-2009) on the Titans.

Barrett saw action in a career-high 18 games in 2009 (combined regular and post-season), while making his first career NLL Championship Game appearance. The Bel Aire, Marland native appeared in 98 career games, scoring four goals, 19 assists and scooping 250 loose balls.

NLL Insider's Paul Tutka comments "One of the more useful, consistent, American defenders to come down the pipe in recent years, Bryan Barrett, calls it a career after a pretty decent eight-year span in Philadelphia and New York."
